The timer is a multifunction triggering and timing device: Wireless Shutter Release And Timer: Acts as an infra-red wireless shutter release transmitter capable of instantly triggering the shutter without disturbing the camera. It can be used for long time exposures (bulb mode) with many SLR cameras. The controller can also be programmed to trip at regular intervals to perform time lapse photography. Programmable Photographic Timer: Provides functionality similar to programmable photographic timers such as Canon TC-80N3 or Nikon MC-36. Camera And Flash Trigger: It allows you to trip the shutter of your camera or fire an electronic flash with a programmable delay in response to a trigger. Flash Slave Unit: Acts as a flash slave. Selectable between normal flash or pre-flash synchronization used with digital cameras. Indoor range up to 14m (45 ft). Strobe Controller Function: Configure number of strobes and delay between them. Adjustable delay edit steps: 10ms or 0.1sec (2ms accuracy). Performance may be limited by the flash itself and also depends on flash output power setting. Consult with your flash manufacturer regarding maximum strobe frequency. Remote Shutter Release: The timer is capable of receiving codes from most common household remote controls (such as a TV remote). It activates your camera shutter when it receives any infra-red modulated code. Unintentional sources may cause false camera triggers. Typical range: from 3 to 7m (9 to 23ft). Please note that unintentional sources may cause false camera triggers. Flash output: Two 3.5mm jacks for photo flash units. Two parallel, but independently opto-isolated circuits with 300V rating. The unit requires a 3.5mm jack to PC flash sync cord and/or hot shoe adapter (not included) when using a flash. Supports high voltage flashes such as Vivitar 286, low voltage flashes such as Canon Speedlite 430EX/580EX or Nikon SB600/SB800/SB900 Speedlights and many others. Flash needs to be operated in manual mode. Positive hot shoe voltages only. The timer flash outputs are compatible with Pocket Wizard devices and cables using 3.5mm jacks. Sensor connections: Two 2.5mm jacks for external sensors or IR extension cables (sensors and other accessories not included). Programmable sensor polarity. The unit can be triggered with different combinations of the sensor input: sensor 1 AND sensor 2 edge trigger, sensor 1 OR sensor 2 edge trigger, sensor 1 OR sensor 2 level trigger, sensor 2 and sensor 1 distance calculation or remote control. Interface: 4 digit LED display, 4 button interface. A buzzer is used to provide audible feedback. Scrolling text messages provide intuitive and easy to navigate user menus. Dynamic configurable menus can customize the most frequent operations. Standard sensors: Built in or external microphone (depending on option) and infra-red sensor. The microphone is not sensitive enough to trigger the timer on small noises (such as a water splash), but it will trigger on most other loud noises. Number of programmable camera codes: Two programmable IR camera codes. Camera code selectable modulation 33kHz, 36kHz, 37kHz, 38kHz, 40kHz, 57kHz. Learns IR codes from your own IR camera transmitter (codes with up to 40 bits of data) Pre-programmed camera remotes: 2 preprogrammed camera remote codes: Preprogrammed with Nikon ML-L3 Remote Control Code. (used with Nikon SLRs D40(x)/D50/D60/D70s/D80/D90). Preprogrammed with Canon RC-1 Remote Control instant release code. (used with EOS 10s, Elan/II/IIE & 7/E, Rebel K2, Ti & T2 (Date Model Only), Digital Rebel and IX Series Cameras) Delay adjustment limits: Adjustments done in 100 micro-seconds up to 9999 seconds. Adjustable edit steps: 100us, 1ms or 0.1sec. Environmental operating conditions: Ambient temperature +32 to 104 deg F (0 to 40 deg Celsius), max humidity 85% non-condensing. Power Source: Operates from 9V alkaline battery (not included). Weight (without battery and cables): Approx. 3.5 oz. ( 100g ) Dimensions (L x W x H): 4.94" x 2.75" x 0.94" (125.5mm x 69.9mm x 23.9mm)
