The Universal Photo Timer contains an infra-red transmitter at the front of the unit. It emulates your camera's infrared shutter release remote. The Universal Photo Timer is pre-programmed with Nikon and Cannon camera codes. The unit is also capable of learning infra-red codes from your existing camera remote. You can extend the range of the transmitter with an IR extension cable. The timer integrates camera and flash control to help you to take pictures in a darkroom. The timer allows you to open your camera shutter and wait for a trigger to occur. Once the trigger occurs, the timer activates the flash (once or multiple times) and closes the camera shutter to prevent accidental overexposure. You can also connect the timer to your camera using an optional shutter release cable. You can purchase a camera shutter release interface cable from us or construct the cable yourself based on the information provided in the user guide.
The Universal Photo Timer includes two sensor connections and two independent flash sync outputs. The timer flash outputs are compatible with Pocket Wizard devices and cables. The sensors can be programmed to trigger the unit with different polarities and combinations. You can easily construct your own sensors to trigger the timer. Alternatively, you can purchase a number of sensors and accessories from us.
The Universal Photo Timer includes a 4 digit LED display and a 4 button interface. Scrolling text messages provide intuitive and easy to navigate user menus. A buzzer is used to provide audible feedback. You can customize the unit for most frequently used operation through dynamic configurable menus. Detailed information as to the operation, setup and sensor connections to the unit are included in the User Guide.
